And I have never had one of these fail in thousands of miles. (You don't need a tool for this one-the other reviewer must have been using the non-usable type). The Missing Link isn't just great as a chain repair, it's great for chain maintenance as well. It's drop dead simple to use the Missing Link to take your chain off of your bike to give it some TLC cleaning and lubrication. You can usually separate it by hand but this nifty tool from Park Park Tool Master Link Plier - MLP-1C makes it completely trouble free. I always have a couple of these in my seat bag for on the trail repairs as well as a couple in my toolbox. Worked as described.
