Last spring I bought a Giant Defy road bike and gave my Giant OCR2 to my son, along with my frame pump. I bought this Serfas frame pump at the same time as my bike and the pump works great. I can air up my tires to 125 psi on the road with this pump with no problem. There's only one issue. Take a close look at the image and enlarge it. The pressure gauge points down when you are airing up the tire!

Seriously, I love everything else about this pump. But be wary of the "Product Features" comment that it has an "easy to read gauge." Yes, it's easy to read until you connect to the valve stem. While you are airing the tire, it is impossible to read the gauge because it is facing down. Topeak makes a similar model, but they had the sense to put the gauge facing up. This was a complete brain-fart on the part of Serfas. It's hard to believe that this problem wasn't noticed when they tested this model.

I`ve had a Serfas Air Supply (same pump, old name) without gauge for several years now and absolutely love it. I used to carry Topeak Morph series pumps, but bought that Serfas when it was the closest thing I could find at my LBS. I have also used a Lezyne high volume "mini floor pump", which I would lump into the same category, as they`re all basically mini pumps with a flexible hose. Now I have the Grifter with gauge to replace the older Serfas that jumped ship somewhere on a long washboard road.

Of the three pumps (Serfas, Morphs, Lezyne) they all have their ups and downs, but the Serfas gets my vote as best overall because it`s so easy on my hand when it comes time to air up a tire. The other two don`t allow as much room between the handle and the top of the cylinder, which often makes for pinched fingers, and the size and shape of the Serfas handle is much more comfortable than the other two. The Serfas also has a longer hose than the Topeak, though about the same... Read more
